Heath tile is beautiful! I hope you get the answer to your question.

i had my heart set on a Heath tile backspash and chimney surround for our remodel. I saw one of their beautiful pictures of a shower in greens and blues. We went to the LA store and spent hours. The tiles I liked with color variations were a special order that would have taken months. We got samples of some of the in stock colors but it seemed so hard dealing with them. I came to the conclusion that unless I lived within easy driving distance from their store in Saucelito and could make multiple trips (and buy seconds) I wasn’t getting a Heath backspash.

We got 4 colors of handmade McIntyre tile through our local tile store and we are very happy with how it turned out with them mixed together. I am still envious when I see all the beautiful pictures of Heath installations though. Your crystal blue picture is lovely.

Have you called Heath? They could perhaps steer you to a lighter glaze, especially if you email them the photo of the tone you're after.

blueskyquilts, I would love to see your kitchen photo. My DD, who is working on her MFA in ceramics at Syracuse, steered me to a handmade tilemaker in Mpls. I mixed three of their off white tiles in my backsplash, love the result, but don't see it done often.

(I saw in another post that you were unsure of how to post a photo. It needs to be jpeg format, then click the camera icon, choose your photo file and photo. It should insert.) Thanks!

Never select a color from a computer monitor or a photograph. Always get a sample from CURRENT stock for the truest color rendition. And check the "color variation"--if high, then you will get a lot of different versions of the color, especially if it's a hand glazed tile.
