A few quick ideas from our interior designers: you may consider finding a way to make the bathroom more accessible to the public spaces, such as the kitchen and living room. For example, if you are in the kitchen, you have to go further than necessary to get to a relatively close space.

Next, you may also consider opening up the kitchen by removing that wall to provide a more open layout. This is common today and is well liked by many. It allows the space to feel larger and more inviting, plus the natural light carriers all the way through that space.
