Help! How can I hide this area below the new bow window in my living room? We aren't sure if we can match the drywall (it's a thinner fiberboard of some sort) so I just thought we may be able to come up with something creative. Like if it were the kitchen maybe tile. I thought perhaps a shiplap wall elsewhere, and then a bit of shiplap may work here, but I'm really not into shiplap at all.

Trim and frame/base will be painted white, wall will be painted ???-no clue as I'm redoing much of the room but don't have a plan yet. You can see we have (fake) exposed beams which I may paint white...overall we try to honor the mid-century modern vibe of this 1976 prefab ranch.
