Wondering if anyone has any advice for a vanity light shade fixture issue that I am experiencing. I purchased a Elk Lighting 31165/4 Calais Four Light Bath Bar, Polished Chrome Vanity Light fixture for my master bathroom. One of the crystal shades fell off 1 year after installed and chipped my marble counter. I had to buy a whole new unit as the shades were not sold separately. Now it is exactly a year later and one of the crystal light shades fell on my marble counter chipping the marble again. I had a licensed contractor install both times and the last contractor reassured methat they were on tightly and would not fall off again.

I checked one of the other crystal light shades in the same unit and it fell off in my hands, so it would have fallen also.

Can the heat of the light cause the retaining collar nut screw to loosen? Wondering if anyone else has had this issue.

I would appreciate any advice.
