Don't believe so. Especially in the first photo, appears to be a beetle. Something more along the lines of Polydrusus is what comes to mind for me.

I wouldn't worry about them until I start to see some plant damage that matters. Think of them as a sign that your home isn't covered with pesticides. It's actually a good thing to have a little nature around! Their presence is probably seasonal and they'll be gone soon (to show up next year).

If you can get better photographs, someone can probably identify them for you. Once you get an ID, you'll know what they eat and be able to check for damage where appropriate.

Can you catch a few, put them in a container and take them to a local nursery. They might be able to identify them, and if necessary provide control recommendations

Polydrusus genus a possibility, although I am not detecting any green of the most common species, the Green Immigrant Leaf Weevil.

Yes, no. 2 immediately made me think weevil. Vine weevil is the one I get in my house sometimes. A menace for house plants.

Bobby, the first rule of pest control is to identify the enemy before applying the hazardous chemicals. The issue with your cherry doesn't sound at all like spider mites to me.
