My favorites are the first and last! Beautiful blooms

As far as factors... that would be so difficult to choose! But I guess if you have too many of a certain shade/color/pattern. Keep a wide variety and the most unique ones.

I also have this issue with space. It's hard not to collect them all!

First flower is easily my favorite. Personally, I would choose by going for a wide variety of patterns and colors. Of ones that are similar, keep one and sell/trade the other. The other big factor for me would be how pleasing/interesting the plant itself is. Let's face it -- most of the year there are no flowers. You may as well choose plants with appealing vegetative growth.

I do go by the difference in flower, but this the first year bloom and you can have some change as it matures. Have you done any branching and shaping to the plant? Like pinching last year? How are your caudexs doing, still buried?. What shape do you like for these in the future? Your blooms are wonderful. Now what to keep and what to play with. You said I think you are in Maui. Great place for these to grow fast. If you still want suggestions let us see the plants. Then you talk favoites and what you want for thier future

Paul, living in Hawaii, I am lucky enough to have blooms year-round, especially if I throw some bloom boosting fertilizer at my plants.I am also considering the longevity of the blooms as well. Anything which becomes ragged in no time flat or can't hold its shape become undesirable for me.. Unusual colors and patterns and multiple petal layers are all attention-grabbers for me.. I do see that the single layer petal flowers actually hold their shape much better than the "floofy" flowers and they do provide a nice contrast to the more exotic flowers.. They all have their up and down sides which is what makes it so hard to choose for me..

Hi im loving the first one

Well..... I woke up this morning to a complete surprise.. The flower in the first picture which is getting the most attention here has lost its interesting colors.. Looks quite bland in comparison to yesterday's flower, in my opinion.. Let me know what you think.

Still pretty. I take mine out of direct sun and the color seems to last longer. Remember this is a first bloom see what the next few do now or in Spring

They are just all so beautiful! I really love the simplicity of the white with the pink edges. All of them are beautiful and I am no help on how to pick what you keep! I want them all haha!

Even after the "fade", first one is still my favorite. Second is probably the white with the pink blush on the edges -- simple but elegant.

My first post. Love the the bold stunning colors. You definitely have a green thumb. The ruby red with faded middle ( first one) looks awesome. The stunning flowers in proportion to the plant size and shape of their caudex is what attracted me to the Desert Rose. I have over 200 four month old seeds (Mr Ko and some others) growing right now. Like you I also live on Maui.

I’m with everyone! First is my fav and even after it fades a little it’s still beautiful! A lot of my blooms look faded in a few days, but it temps were in 100s, so I’m lucky to see some flowers, lol. Im going to Maui in March:) ! Is there adenium nurseries over there?

No adenium nurseries per se but South Maui gardens had quiet a few but didn’t look like they took good care of them. Lowe’s, Home Depot and Walmart sporadically have some available. Tim West who lives on Maui who is on Facebook sells quite a few of them. I found 4 old adeniums from Rainbow Acres which is an unlikely place because it’s usually cloudy and rains a lot. Best to check with the Hawaii department of agriculture if it’s even possible to take them out of the islands.

Jericson Pastor had a big collection he loved to grow in the Islands and sold and shipped in your area. My problem is I'm not sure which island. He hasn't been on here since the changes. Search him Adeniums to see his plants. He still can be massaged.

Thank you Rex and Marica! I thought adeniums would be all over Hawaii, lol. Not a big deal, we’ll enjoy native planets than. :) Jericson is on a FB, but he is not into obesums... and I don’t really care about arabicums and socos. I have 47 grafted plants so I’m kinda getting more selective:) My DH will be happy if he won’t have to carry suitcase of adeniums, hahaha.
