Spacing figs in zone 7

Hey everyone I’m new to figs and have been reading around here and elsewhere to learn a few things before I plant any. My question has to do with spacing. I want to plant 3 brown turkeys along a west facing 6 ft privacy fence wherein have about 25-30 feet to work with. According to what I’ve read, where I live (zone 7b Oklahoma), figs take on more of a bush form and won’t get so big, so I was wondering if spacing them 7-8 feet would be sufficient. To save space I was also hoping to grow them about 3 feet out from the fence. Does this sound reasonable or would anyone recommend a different spacing scheme? I *suppose* I could plant only 2 but I think 3 would look better. Thank!
