First, it needs a really bright spot. Directly right up in front of a south facing window with no blinds or curtains would be best.

Second, I’d get a feel for watering. Use a sharpened wooden dowel and stick it in the pot all the way to the bottom and then pull it and inspect.

Dark, damp with soil stuck to it = do not water. Keep checking daily and water when it comes out clean and dry.

Third, right now, as the days are growing shorter and shorter (unless youre in Australia) it is not the best time to repot.

The best time time would be around summer solstice when the days are their longest.

A full repot includes removing all soil from in and around roots, untangling and pruning problematic roots. You must keep the roots wet the whole time while doing this work.

Fourth, the homemade 5.1.1 mix (search these forums to find out more) would be best. But if you must use a basic potting mix, use at leave 50% added perlite.

Lastly, don’t repot into something without drain holes.

In in the mean time, you can just keep it in its current put and stick that inside a more decorative pot, if you’d like.
