Yes, Lipstick was registered by Penning Breeding B.V. in 2007. It has been categorized in the Galaxy Group, which includes varieties with the largest flowers. Specifically, those having a diameter larger than 16cm (6.3 inches). To my eyes, it appears to have H. vittatum heritage.

Good Grief this One is SLOW to get going, but then again He was in the Un-Heated Kitchen so may of been a bit Cold.....

I've Moved Him into the Stitting Room to get Him going but then will probally move Him back as I'd like the Flowers to Last, Don't Think They will in a too warm room......

I've started to see Cut Flower Scapes in the Shops so IF I see something I Like then I MIGHT be playing Bee.....

Finally I have a Scape Nose Poking Out!!!

    Now the Flower Countdown Begins....

  • ninecrow

An Update I now have 2 Scapes but the Bulb has NO Roots, So how does THAT Work?!?!????

    Thanks

  • Fred Biasella

Not to worry. After the blooms fade it will start to put out leaves and at that point, it will start to root. If the scapes start to get a bit top heavy, just put a stake in the pot to hold it upright.
