The additional photos do not alter my advise about having a line of site to the front door. Think about great houses an you have an entry way leading your eye to the front door. Where is that here? Modern houses are terrible about forgetting that one’s eye must follow up to the front door otherwise, something always seems OFF.

The photos needed must adjoin (slightly overlap) the first photo so they cal be put together as a single, cohesive scene. Also, show us how one approaches the front door. (The camera must be at the same location for all three photos. It would just pivot.)

I get what you mean about a path to the front door. unfortunately, the stone steps zig-zag around the huge retaining flowerbed, so there is no straight path to the front door. I am hoping bu taking out the tall shrubs that it will open things up some.

I guess I am jumping the gun slightly. we do not close on the house until mid Nobember so I cant get any more photos until then. once we get moved I will get better photos and try again. thank you for the help so far.

Since you're aware of a large deer population, you should do some research before landscaping -- what will deer quickly ruin ... don't plant that. You'd probably be better off not doing any major landscaping until you live in the home about a year if for no other reason than you want to know how much time, effort, energy and money you'll be putting into what you have before you decide to make a change. One exception: After you close in November, consider topping (leaving <1') all those bushes that show a lot of stem below and green only on top. You might find they come back next spring.
