do you mean LITTLE white lines ... it looks mysteriously exactly like it .... any chance it could be a piece of LWL ...?? ... its a bit rhizomatic as i recall ... sp? on that.. lol ...

was it a seedling this spring.. ??? .. if so ... it might be out of normal phase..

if its a few years old... then this is probably normal flowering time ...

yes, it is a younger seedling which I noticed last year but did not remove till this spring, it was way out in the stepping stone crevices and seems different than parent, more glossy and upright. It is next to Pure heart and is def grown for the season well. It has rozette upright growth habit. I will watch for next year bloom then.

seedlings rarely come straight out.. as an edged plant ... do you ever recall it being streaked???

you cant really define heritage ... just by looking at pix .... most likely.. the proper descriptor for it would be OP x OP ... or simply.. OP ... open pollinated ...

The most likely explanation is that a piece of Little White Lines ended up in another spot. Having said that, it is not impossible for this to be a seedling of a plant not considered to be a streaker - it would just be rare.

With respect to bloom time, my experience has been a later bloom time in the first bloom year - I’d be interested in knowing whether this is consistent with other’s experience.

Looks like you have a few seedlings in that pic...

The bottom pic is actually Little white lines plant, which is clumpy but some parts of it do have these streaking. I had it in same location for a number of years and moved to the pot this spring. Now am thinking should I separate stripy parts out next spring?

Could you carefully remove the non-streaked eyes without digging up/disturbing the streaked?

Yup, that's enough streaking to call it a "Streaked LWL" x OP seedling.
