Pink diamond

Looks like a paniculata. Except for a few, the rest start white, then turn pink and then they fade to brown. Wholesalers develop paniculatas either in shrub form or in tree form (by selecting only one stem or a few stems which gives them a Crape Myrtle look). They do not bloom in Spring but in Spring, they can still have the previous years bloom left (it will be browned out).

Thank you, both! It looks like it could be Hydrangea paniculata 'Interhydia' PINK DIAMOND. It must have been a fluke that it bloomed in spring. Hydrangeas don't always do that well for me, but this one has been growing steadily each year.

Sandy i’m thinking it could be Hydrangea Tardiva or Hydrangea Unique....if it flowers in July it not Tardiva.....I have the same problem 10yr old tree form missed tagged ...blooms white in July turns mild pink in late August ....I’m guessing I have a Unique... not saying you don’t have a PD

hyed, yours is pretty and full of flowers. I like the name Pink Diamond, but I'll just consider it to be a Hydrangea paniculata made into a tree form. That's the problem when a plant tag has so little info.
