One of the leafhoppers perhaps? I can't believe you got a photo. Those guys are so quick. The one under the glass looks (maybe!) like an immature one, but the first one looks like an adult.

Dear Fori, That could be it!!! I caught the little fella in a jar and photographed him that way. Thanks for the help. Should I be concerned about an infestation of leaf hoppers in a year round greenhouse?

Leafhoppers are sucking insects, they pierce and suck the insides out of plants. They can pick up infections from one plant and transmit it to another when they pierce it. They're the "baddies". Not good to have in a greenhouse, not likely to be predators in there to keep them under control.

Thanks. I will do what I can to keep them in check. I pulled out the plants that they seemed to be preferring, and the numbers have gone down - at least for now....

Did you look up green thrips? That's what they looks like to me. Great picture taken with the lens, by the way.

thanks rhizo. I am wondering if they are thrips, but I can't seem to find out if thrips jump like these fellows do.... Would you possibly know?
