doesnt look like it bloomed.. but any idea if it is fragrant???

It didn’t bloom this year and I haven’t paid attention to it for ages. Leaf backs are not white. Do you have a guess? I can investigate further

it looks so vaguely familiar.. but crikey.. with hosta ... that doesnt mean much .. lol ... and it doesnt seem to be thriving .... which adds another layer of confusion ....

i recall now.. a real oldie.. but a bigger white edge... with all the ripples and twists might be .... ventricosa 'Aureomarginata' ... see if the progeny names ring any bells ....

There are a gazillion hostas this might be (well, not really). Key questions: fragrance? are the edges white in spring or yellow/cream fading to white? are there red spots on the petioles? (doesn't look like it)

The twist to the leaves, and the irregular white "jets" to the leaf centers, are clues, too. But no ID is coming to mind right now.

lol ken...he didn't come over. i'm not sure if he will this season or not. i'll look for the posts and update - I've figured a LOT of them out!

Dave - white all season, not sure on fragrance and no red that I can see. I'm not a huge fan of green w/ white variegation so I mostly ignored it until I really started looking and realized it was pretty nice. I don't ever remember purchasing it as a "mature" plant so I think it was one of the TCs that I purchased 10-12 yrs ago.

I thought maybe Nutty Professor but the leaf backs aren't white really.
