i would put tv on the north wall. have the couch face it. chair on either side of couch.

Whoops, you're right. I've added them below. I have a TV as a focal point, not the breakfast far.

Here are the pictures. I also have some furniture but I'm not against changing it as this is stuff i brought with me from previous home. The first is the view from the hallway when you walk in and the second is a panorama also looking from the hallway at the whole room.

I would say goodbye to the sectional. the rug looks like it has seen better days. and your tv console is a wee too small for that tv. remember you need to measure things with tape on the floor before you buy. do you have a particular style or colors you like?

if you put the table under your island it allows you to have lots dining room table without taking a lot of space on a regular basis. when you have many guests, you can have a couple of the gents move furniture around and eat by the fireside or in the sunshine by the view.

How much seating do you think you need on a regular basis?
