Two helpful hints

I had a machinist I know hand me an article copied from a journal he receives about making your own penetrating oil. It was a fifty fifty blend of transmission fluid and mineral spirits. The article gave numbers and stats to show the results of their testing and it showed a very significant difference than anything is a can ( and there were several familiar names of products) while using this blend.

Second thing I learned----- We all know what ethanol does to a small engine. In this second article it said that all that is needed for the user is to move up to a mid grade or premium grade gasoline because ethanol is not used in them like in regular gas.

So as time goes by, we find out new things that help us along the way. I would like to help fellow mechanics, techs, and tinkerers discover different approaches to seemingly impossible situations. I am a veteran of service in the seabees and our motto was ( Can do ). I would like to think that the same spirit lives on even though the length of days takes its toll with all of us. Everyone be blessed and have a nice day. Popcorn is running low, time to re order.
