Thanks for the idea, Bob! My husband sharpened my cheap grafting knife (I will eventually get a nicer one) and It’s may be too sharp for my clumsy self lol

Oh Kelly ouch! I had a grafting accident as well early this year. Get grafting gloves for safety. I found some on amazon. Bob, those are great. Funny, once you have grafted, a whole new world opens up. I was picking apples with my kids yesterday and thinking I could take a few little twigs home and graft them to my two apple trees....have multiple varieties :)

I use an exacto craft knife; it is always sharp, as when I finish working I snap off the end leaving a new and sharp and clean blade for the next time.

I was wondering if there is a thread here that exists of one that one can start with close up instructions on how to graft? Pictures , tools needed, procedure and the like . Please?

i would love to save that thread to my favorites and give it a try. I have never done a graft before and did not think I ever could.

I guess you haven’t tried the ones I am using. When something is hard to come, you just look for a alternative. John the one you are using is in no way sharp enought for my use.you own a plantation, I guess you should know.
