I'd be buying a bunch but I'm done for the fall.

Exactly! Thus far, October far has felt like mid-late November. There are definitely deals to be had, but it is difficult to be in a planting mood when it barely climbs out of the 30’s.

Even though I know that Fall is a great planting season, I don’t feel like working in the garden anymore past October...too cold!

Ha, I'm feeling the same. I'm done digging holes - big ones that is. Still need to plant Fall bulbs later. I'll have to stay away from Lowes so I won't be tempted.

USDA 4 is too cold for routine fall planting of all but the most hardy plants anyway.

I respectfully disagree. I’ve planted trees through October on a regular basis with a high degree of success. I believe October is still considered fall, at least in these parts.
