Thanks, Stuie. That seems to be the consensus but I'll wait to observe it through maturity & blooming to try to attach a name.

Mikado is an art form from Japan. Plant grouping together of cut spears. Can't seem to find ''bacularis' as a plant but mingled with 'Mikado'. So it could be 'Fernwood' or even 'Cylindrical' cut leaf tips. If so, each should root and produce new shoots. I agree with Stuie that it looks like a Fernwood. But I have been wrong before.

TY! I knew it was cut leaves, but am not sure which Sans. If the pot wasn't full of such lovely cococoir, I would have repotted & inspected what is going on under the surface by now.

I don't think I'll ever seen any cococoir for sale unless I order online...

I did see it offered at Lowes' last year in a cubit block. Set in water and it expands. Haven't looked for it lately. Also I am rethinking about peaty soils for Sanseveria. I've see too many growing great in it and not so well in a gritty mix. I would wait till spring and then tear it apart and plant half in the ground and half in a pot. Then pot the ground one come fall. I think you would be surprised with how many you end up with.
