So.. I went to a local nursery today that I just discovered! It was so exciting and I found many plants I had on my wishlist. Among them was a peperomia ruby cascade. I’ve had the plant before, but I tossed it. I don’t believe the roots were very established and the seller told me to keep it very dry, so I kind of took that to the extreme and it completely dried out. I don’t know how I didn’t realize it needed water, being as the leaves should be flat like little coins versus all curled up... mine were curled. SMH.
Anyways, I believe I found a new one! Yay. However, it was labeled as “peperomia pepperspot.” It seems after a quick google search that people use pepperspot interchangeavly with ruby cascade for this peperomia. However, my old ruby cascade had deep, bright red undersides and this one has very light pink underneath. It could be the light in the nursery wasn’t strong? Who knows. Maybe pepperspot and ruby cascade are different.
What do you think?
