Lighting Design Dilemma Entry

My daughter is building a home, as hers burned down. I am trying to help her order entryway chandelier, with another pendant/chandelier nearby the entryway above a downstairs stairway. They will be near, like 14 feet, from each other, and visible. She wants a larger one for the entryway, and the stairway one smaller. Any suggestions? Separate tray ceilings at both places.

However, there are so many options for chandeliers, it will be helpful if you can tell us what is the style of the new home? What finishes your daughter chose for her home? Any finish she likes most?
