Thanks for your questions. To work around the outlet, you can cut the hole 1" bigger than the wall plate all around, around you are done, back fill the void behind the panel with wall filler or speckler. shave off the extra before it dries up. That way you create a nice square box around the outlet. If you do not plan to bring the panels all the way to the edge, you can use the moulding (available at the hardware store) to create a nice border. Hope this helps. Thanks

thank you. do you have any recommendations for the kind of glue or caulk? when I take these panels down, does drywall ome with them?

You don't need any glue as the panel has the glue on the back. Just need to Peel and Stick to the wall.

Can you paint them?
