Height question.

I have same issue as previous question. I thought the overall height was going to be 32". The height of 24" is too short fo rmy location. I need it to be at least 30". Can I just order a 6" extensioin rod or can I get an 18" to replace the 12" rod that was shipped with the fixture. I need to get this new rod ASAP becaue we are moving into our new house soon.
