Ideas needed for large wall space

last modified: 13 years ago
I have a large blank wall in my great room and would love ideas on how to deal with it. My style is rustic. As you can see we are still working on the trim (doors, windows, base etc...) Floors are a dark brown concrete, doors are knotty alder, ceiling is about 20 high. The home is built to resemble a monitor barn. I thought about mounting a barn door on a rail, but don't know if that's weird. The stove surround leaves a lot to be desired. Needs something. We will probably top the loft rail off with a nice slab of wood. I've glazed other walls in house to give it that old world textured look, maybe that would help? There are 2 windows at the top of the wall appx 2 x 4. any help appreciated.
