apple id please

My brother picked about 500 lbs of these smallish red apples from a neighbor's tree. Yes, I'm not exaggerating. We made a ton of sweet cider with them and some Goodland, Trail crab, Patterson crab, and a couple of other unidentified crabapples from overgrown rootstock.

These apples were small, mostly about 2 inches across, some larger. The taste was sweet with some tartness and it made a really good sweet cider when blended with fully ripe Trail crabapples (which are very sweet but have no tartness). I don't know if these are actually a crabapple or just very undersized due to the fact that the tree that they grew on was not cared for (no pruning or fruit thinning). And 500 lbs from a medium-sized tree is an extremely heavy crop. So it could be that if properly thinned, the fruit could be a good bit larger.

Dos this look like an apple that you have seen? Could it be September Ruby?
