On Saturday, the forecast for Gainesville (so far) is 69 F high and 49 F low. Oh boy! Our first day below 70! I can pull out my sweats now.

My london fog coat is newly laundered and awaiting use, tho for our first chiller i think a less extreme jacket will suffice...i don't own boots unless you count my rubber rain boots and prefer bare feet instead.

I don't go much of anywhere during the day, but I did pull out some winter clothes today. I still can't find one pair of sweat pants. I'm usually fine layered up with a long sleeved shirt, sweater and hoodie. I'm going out winter clothes shopping this week. I need a couple more hoodies and long sleeved shirts and maybe a couple of pairs of jeans. Actually, 69 is great walking weather and the 40s at night is great sleeping weather. I don't think I have anything that needs to come in at those temps.

Pea - I go barefoot most of the time, but in the winter on these cold-ass ceramic tile floors, I usually wear some footie socks.

Too funny! I remember seeing that especially in Miami, once the lows hit around low to mid 60's the boots, scarves, mufflers and jackets came out. That's what happens to people when you have

temps in the 80's and 90's 10 months a year!

First day of very nice weather and I'm not even going to be here to enjoy it :o( hopefully this is the norm for the next few months...

puglvr, January is usually the coldest month up here in 9a. By the end of February, it's back into the mid-to-upper 70s during the day. I love November and December, and most of January and February. The rest of the year I can take or leave.

It's 61 here right now, and going down to 48 or thereabouts tonight. I'm not bringing in anything but the desert rose, staghorn fern and my tender bromeliads, and I'll cover the pencil cactus, just to be on the safe side. I really wish I could sell that pencil cactus so I won't have to worry about moving and protecting it this year. Last year, it barely made it through the freeze and the other two died.

I hate anything below 60s too. Almost 3am and it's 50F in my area. I didn't bring anything in, now thinking, maybe I should've. Well, I hope all my tender plants will survive and I won't regret that I didn't take care of them.

What are you doing up at 3 a.m., Halyna? LOL I have a hard time adjusting to the cooler weather, and my internal clock gets messed up, so I can't sleep at night and I wake up later in the morning.

Last year i bought ear muffs...i've never owned a pair but those all day outside artshows were too cold for me...needed little coats for my ears...they are cute...look like little white bear faces or little fox faces...yes i bought two pair. The breeze coming off the water is just too cold.
