My DH inherited a German folk art plant stand (or stool) which came down from his great grandparents, who immigrated to the US directly from Germany in the middle of the 19th century. I am curious - does anyone recognize the style of decoration, or know anything about this? It appears that the white decoration is made with zillions of little dents in the wood, which are then colored white. I am only trying to post one pic now, I will do the close up one of the decoration of that works.
