Help with Bedroom accents

Hello everyone I live in an attic bedroom, and I just bought this new bed, and decorated with a side table and nightstand I had already. But, I need help deciding on a rug, lighting, etc.

I love modern rustic and industrial styles. But I can't decide between task lamps, sconces, table lamps, etc. Also do you guys think the two tables work, I was kind of thinking of purchasing another one of the nightstands you see on the left. It's called the Emerson nightstand by West Elm. I'm excited to hear what you all suggest, please include links to items if possible. :)

    Not a Pro.

I happen to like what you have going on so far. I like that the end tables don't match. Finding an area rug will help pull your room together.

I'd like to see all of the recess under the eaves (including the shelves) painted to match the headboard and bed frame. You might even try a suede finish paint there. Unless you really need the bit of storage in that nightstand, I'd replace both pieces with something appropriately sized and perhaps just floating on the wall with a sconce or swing arm lamp above it.

I like the idea of an accent wall behind the bed but I also love just having all white. The color is simply white by Benjamin Moore and its very modern. I think I can get bring in more color and texture with bedding, a big rug, and accent lighting?

The bed and your inspiration pic are so masculine; I was just thinking to continue that theme. When you're in bed you'll be looking at all the white opposite you. Color on the wall will really richen things up and make a statement that white won't do here, IMO.

Okay, so maybe an accent wall. What color comes to mind? Navy, Black, Grey?

I normally like substantial table lamps next to the bed, but the low ceiling feels a little claustrophobic (hopefully that's just me). I think lamps with shades will just emphasize how low the ceiling is. I like the idea of sconces or swing-arm lamps. Something that doesn't take up much visual space but still will provide the right amount of light at the right height for reading in bed.

I'd try to match the color of the bed itself. Dark grey flannel comes to mind for the recess, but I may not be seeing the color accurately on my monitor. Pick up a load of paint chips to find the general range of colors you like with it. Then narrow down and buy sample pots. Paint squares of color in the middle of white poster boards and check out how they look there in different light, at different times of day, and even with different weather conditions outside.
