Beautiful picture! I still saw a couple of them today. Thankfully they didn’t seem to be interested in the milkweed. It already makes me sad to see all the Fritillary caterpillars this late in the year.

She's a beauty, Sherry. I'm jealous how terrific your pentas looks! The leaves on mine look like rust and fungus have taken hold -- rather ugly, but Monarchs and Giants still visit. We've had a three-day stretch of 85-degree weather (I personally hate it), and the Monarchs have been frequent visitors. Today, one made its rounds and laid eggs everywhere. For their sake, I don't see any cold weather on the horizon.

Sherry, just curious if you checked for eggs. I had about 20 Monarchs today! Maybe the last little wave coming through?

I don't think the Monarchs around here got the memo that it's November: they're everywhere, all day. I finally found time to get some of my potted plants into the ground, and found no less than 10 Monarch cats (1-1/2" to almost mature) -- which means there are many others I don't see. This ever get old. :)
