Carpet advice-help

We are trying to choose between Dreamweaver Tranquility and Bellera by Shaw. The Tranquility is so soft and has a better price point. The Bellera is a newer product with a waterproof backing. Can anyone recommend one over the other? Looking for some input from a homeowner who has the product. Thanks!

Okay, I sell both products and have been a long time Shaw dealer. But, I like Dreamweaver a little better due to softness and the ease of cleaning the product. If you want moisture protection, get an upgraded pad that has it.

I have Dreamweaver Stratosphere installed in my house. My rep pushed me towards an upgraded 8 lb padding for my master...but to be honest, I don't like the denseness of it, it's too hard. My guest bedrooms have a standard 6 lb rebond pad and they are much nicer to walk on...much softer to the step.

If a spill happens on Dreamweaver, you can use hot water to clean it. Dreamweaver's stain protection is superior to all other carpet manufacturers. Unlike other manufacturers that add a foam stain protection after the carpet is constructed, Dreamweaver's stain protection begins with the construction of the fibers. The fibers have the stain protection prior to the carpet being constructed and once it is constructed they add the foam stain protection as well for added protection.

Also take this in consideration, all carpet companies recommend you have your carpets professionally clean at least once a year (some may state every 6 months) to uphold their warranties. What they don't tell you is that when you have your carpets professionally cleaned, they will slowly remove the stain protection allowing stains to happen more frequently. Dreamweaver products will not loose their stain protection due to the stain protection being integrated in the fibers of the carpet.

As always, the best care you can provide for your carpet is to vacuum it. Don't allow the fibers to matte down because of dirt. This could also void warranties.

    Best of luck!
