After a simple dusting/vacuuming/compressed air to get off the loose stuff, if there is still residue, you could wipe with a damp rag or sponge using a dilute detergent cleaning product. Then wipe with a rag dampened with only water. Don't let it get drippy or sit there wet for any length of time. Dry it off and let it dry completely for a few hours at least.

If there is still residue on it, wipe with mineral spirits. Usually a stain will not come off with just mineral spirits. Anything else - alcohol, lacquer thinner, etc. may remove stain.

You could skip the whole first part but I have found that many forms of dirt and grime do not come off with mineral spirits alone. Greasy and oily stuff does but not everything, especially if it's water soluble - proteins, sugars, carbohydrates.
