I'm having an issue with the downstairs neighbors and their surround sound system. They have it on ALL the time, and they crank music up momentarily during the day. Granted, I sleep well at night (I can't hear anything in the bedroom) and they typically keep it down late evening, and it's not always blaring. Does it warrant putting a noise complaint into office management about them? I have once before, and they've been better, but I still hear them constantly. A part of me want to think, "Well, that's apartment life." However, it's driving me nuts. A solution would be them just not using surround sound, but that feels unreasonable.

I pay a lot for rent, and want this to be a home (I have a wife and young daughter here) -- not a frat house, so just curious if anyone had any thoughts. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt, and don't want to see anyone get evicted. Noise just constantly bothers me (I think I have a bit of noise anxiety), and I'm trying to decide the best course of action. I'd talk to them personally, but from what I hear, it's best to let property management do this. Plus, it's GOTTA bother the guy below them, I'm sure. Subwoofers just aren't quiet. I feel like I'm doing everyone a favor by finding a solution.
