Greetings. Is this post a consequence of you reading the Lowe's/Houzz Sweepstakes? If so, all you need to do is complete the entry form, send it in, and wait until July 31.

My apologies. I made an error in suggesting that you enter the Sweepstakes and just wait until July 31. Only one person will win.

Would it be possible for you to attach photos of your space? They must be in jpeg format to attach to Houzz. Please provide more details to get suggestions that will be the most helpful for your dilemma.

So here is my dilemma: my home is 100 years old and the Plaster wall under the tile is cracked and shifted and making the tile bulge.am I going to have to gut my whole bathroom?

I think simple is best. Leave it and buy a new toilet

Dayna, sounds like you may be correct. You may want to call in some local contractors to find out why the wall is cracked and have those issues corrected before you spend money renovating the washroom. Old houses are wonderful but unfortunately they come with their own set of problems. Research the contractors in your area and find one who has great references and you can trust. Take the time to do your home work, check their references, make sure they are licensed and insured. Create an idea book for your favourite washrooms when it's time to do the actual washroom so your contractor can see your vision. Always better to take your time and do things right. Good luck.
