can we see pics of what's left? and clear pics of where and what kind of rot is happening?

i usually root in flooded perlite (perlite with bottom 2" of water) with a few drops of 3% perlite to suppress bacterial growth. and on heat mat tented for 100% humdity.

but cane rot is a very difficult situation. you shouldn't tent - too dangerous.

we went thru a lot of posts here. and i am not sure how many if any tips close to rot survived (there were many cuttings...).

Hey Cassandra, I experimented with an ugly, leggy dieff that I chopped up last year and tried a bunch of rooting methods to see what worked (laying down on top of medium, sticking into the dirt, scabbed, not scabbed, MG, peat, etc). I had a few pieces in each. Straight water was the most successful for me but I'd also like to add I probably didn't pay as much attention to keeping the medium damp in the others as I should have. And this was also a Lowes dieff not anything special so not much on the line. I have however had syngonium cuttings that had been in room temp water for weeks and did nothing but as soon as I switched to heated water w/ some MG in it rooted in a few days. Dont know if any of that helps but good luck!
