I can’t even see the table…is it round, antique? Pull away the chairs and take another photo. Thanks

I like your dining set it has a classic feel. I think you need color and texture added to the room and maybe a new light fixture. Before changing the dining set I would change the mirror, I am not loving the frame with your other wood tones, for a colorful piece of art work that sings to you. Curtains will also help update the room tremendously maybe a natural linen to work with the neutral vibe you presently have.

Do you like the style of the table and chairs? You shouldn't change them because they are "outdated" only if you don't like them. (Personally I would never have purchased that style since it's not my taste.)

It would be more cost effective to change the soft furnishings if you like the table and chairs. New area rug, long curtain panels on rings and rods, new upholstery on chair seats. Add color and pattern--the room looks very dark and colorless.

I'd swap out the mirror and light before making any other changes. I think the rug is too modern compared to the table too
