I'm anything but a newbie. I've been part of the Garden Web forms since the 1990's. When Houzz took over they changed everything around this past summer. I got a little disgusted with the situation and backed away for a little while.

I, for one, am looking forward to more of these gorgeous pictures. I adore Lady of the Dawn. That's a new one to me.

Lady of the Dawn was a Jackson & Perkins release back in the mid 1980's. They listed it as a "Shrub" but listed it with the ARS as a "Floribunda". I bought my first one back in 1989. I have had at least 2 in every garden I have planted ever since. This picture really doesn't do this rose justice. In real life it is a beautiful soft pink blend.

I'm afraid Houzz has driven quite a few people away with its "upgrade", which turned out to be a nightmare for many, which unfortunately led to rather a mass exodus. Glad to see that you were brave enough to fight your way through, Ken. I especially like Lady of the Dawn and Rosa rugosa, not surprising since I love the old roses, although thankfully there are many new roses nowadays that have that old rose softness and charm.
