Can you take a picture? Did you know that you can paint over tiles with melamine paint? Since I cannot see the space, the safe thing to do is pick a neutral colour, like white, then paint out everything the same colour - walls, trim, tiles (different type of paint for tiles), then add interest with a mirror in frame, hits of colour with towels, accessories. Note- I would also do a neutral shower curtain (if it is a tub/shower combo).
