Could you use the chandelier somewhere else in the house?

You would have to get a fixture Mounting Box intended for a cathedral ceilings, I know they have boxes for new construction and they come 80 degrees and up, I'm not sure if they have them for remodeling.

You will also need longer rods to make the fixture hang lower over the table. I think your best bet is to get an electrician and have him take a look I'm sure he will have a few suggestions.

Thanks @Mrs Pete and @GN Builders. I think we may just need to move it to another room and find another option for the dining area :( I will look into the mounting box (I have longer rods/extensions if the box option does work). Thanks!

We ended up choosing a new chandelier and moved the one we love to our bedroom!
