I believe he's in Indio CA (near Palm Springs) The fires have burned Malibu and surrounding small areas and in the north. I am going out there next month and there will be a big detour if the roads are still closed.

Amy, just found this thread as I scrolled through the garden forum. I appreciate you checking in on me. I myself, my trees and my family are all safe, I am in indio, California which is about 120 miles East of Malibu. We did get some residual smoke from winds shifting towards the desert but nothing too bad. Thank you for checking in on me.

Steve, I am in California, however my climate is closer in temps to Phoenix, AZ since I am in the desert.

Steve, I am in the same climate but West by about 200 miles and I can’t open carry a gun on my hip.....legally.

Laura, California was hit hard this year with fires. Seems to get worse every year, it’s unfortunate that we can’t get our greenhouse gases under control and increasing warmth and climate change is starting to be the norm.
