A little "ARD" in your Yard?

Now that i have done the groundwork, i can now be more creative shaping all my tree's. This spring will be my test as to what to keep. I will only keep what i can managed. I have a pretty good idea as to what my tree's should look like. When you start out with a little stick sticking out of the ground and adding another piece to it then come up with a tree that is beautiful to look at and also give you plenty of goodies, that is the berries. Looking at some of my tree's some are already there.

If all my tree's look like those, i will only have room for 12, period!

Bob your one up on me you've seen the future and realized there might be issues for space if you let your tree's just grow . I had a few tell me years ago to trim my tree's way down but didn't listen and now it's to late for some I really wish I had listened!!! I ain't getting any younger and some of the tree's have become extremely heavy and worse can't reach the darn fruit at the top of the tree which is usually the best tasting . Now I'm in a situation I will have to let a few tree's go next year which is going to be very difficult . Bob it's great your thinking ahead you have a great large space for over wintering. By keeping them trimmed properly you will be rewarded with great looking trees the best tasting fruit and you will never get into a situation of having to give any away.

Beautiful tree's Bob !!!! Very smart to keep your tree's in control , them sticks can really grow fast!!! .
This Tango tree no matter how much I cut it will regrow a month later to its former size as it is doing right now in November.

:Looking good Brian, that tree looks excellent, but for my situation a little too tall. I bet that tree is also very precocious, you need a few more.

Steve, remember e mentioning about that pear tree you have and i told you i can send you sionwood, well here is a picture of that tree, carrying tons of pears. Picture only shows a 1/3 of the size.

Bob; I am interested in that pear tree. I have room in our community garden for it. Is one of those trees you need to get rid of by chance an Asian persimmon and if so will it go down to -10F. We get a -10F every 15 years or so.

Brian, got the answer for you, bought 2 orchard ladders, old ones, were used in California, both for $75.00, excellent condition and well built.

Steve, this Warren pear tree has a history could not part with, knew the guy that gave me this tree, he develop( T.O Warren). This tree is large, inground.

Lol Bob your hilarious imagine falling off one of those !!!. Maybe a fire truck ladder or cherry picker ? Great price $75.00 bucks for both !!! Bob love that cedar tree and fall foliage!!. Sure looks like paradise to me !!!!

Bob and Brian...wow! Love your trees. Bob, the shape of yours is perfect for me also. Unfortunately, I have a monster tangelo like Brian. I did not prune it when it came inside, but it is a bit squashed against the ceiling.

Loving that cedar trunk, gorgeous! Did you do anything to make it have that soft glow? Like primed it or oiled it down? You’re really a jack of all trades! You have alot of great grafting advice to offer the citrus community but what we should really be doing is getting you to teach us how to prune our trees to make them look as good as yours

That tree was growing at the edge of the property. Finally cut the thing down,it’s about 24 feet tall. That piece is almost 10 feet tall, the other 8.

I just water the tree in the winter and let it freeze, than in the spring I rip the bark right of, it comes of in long strips, don’t use anything.

Vetch, there are so many videos on you tube, it all depends what kind of tree you are working on, so you use the best grafting technique for it.
