Try posting in the Cooking Forum and the Kitchen Table forum. Both get a lot more traffic on food-related issues than this one which is mainly about home TV's etc.

Thanks! is there a primitive way to mix a smoothie? I don't own any smoothie blender, rather only an old Braun food processor & vintage kitchen-aid mixer.

How about some coconut potato soup? Peel and cut up some potatoes into 1 inch chunks and simmer in coconut milk until tender. Puree and add salt to taste.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can add cumin, turmeric, fresh basil, cayenne, nutmeg, etc.

Joe, wow, that sounds like something simple enough to try! I happen to have turmeric-powder in the house (since i've heard it being recommended for health). Any suggestions for how much turmeric, potatoes & milk proportionally?

Good question on the proportions—I'm not one for precise measurements. For turmeric, I'm thinking ½ T to start, and adjust from there. If you use only turmeric, it'll give a subtle earthy flavor. Adding an equal amount of cumin will intensify that earthiness. Adding a bit, say < ¼ t of cinnamon and/or nutmeg will impart a spiciness without heat.
