Is the table top heat resistant?

Our old table left white marks where the plates were sitting.

    No wooden top is heat resistant by nature.

    Solid wood, veneer or other, they are not resistant to heat.

    Thank you for your response. I should've been more clear with my question. Our previous table left white marks where the plates were sitting (from the heat of the plates). I'm not going to put hot pans on the table, but I don't think it should create white marks from hot plates.

    Also, I didn't see the 'Wood Care Guide'.

    The best example is the warmth of a cup of coffee, even this heat will mark the table.
