If you are just looking for a change; go lighter. Whether you decide to paint or not, it's a lovely room.

I'd look at a buttery-soft cream.

I'm in the go lighter camp as well.

The colors suggested above would be much better coordinated to your beautiful wood flooring than a gray.

I think a soft gray/ green would be lovely I can’t see gray with what you have for purniture and drapes but gray/ gree is very neutral without being boring and I use it a lot when clients want a neutral that is not beige or gray.

I would pull a creamy cream color from your rugs and have it color matched. I like the idea of lighter. If you must go gray look for something that is a chameleon gray. A color that will change throughout the day. So many of them out there Pale Oak BM, Balboa Mist BM, Repose Gray SW, Shaker beige BM, Collonade Gray SW, Amazing Gray SW.....A light pretty gray color.

When looking for a versatile grey or beige I encourage folks to do them with a green undertone.

I like it as it is, but if you are wanting a change, go with green.
