Hi, Thanks so much for the complement...it was a great project to be part of.

I believe we went with a 48" space between the cabinets and the island, I would typically spec 42 however with the door to the laundry and secondary garage behind we felt the extra room would be useful. On the other side we were fortunate to have quite a bit of space...the narrowest section is between the island and the sofa table but I think we still had 72" there. Hope that helps! Deena
