Should you plant them where they will be less likely to bloom prematurely, or should you plant them where you can baby them if the weather turns warm then cold again? For much of Texas apricots will only make a crop 1 year out of 4. When a hot wind blows in from the southwest in February that exposed site won't protect your trees from blooming early. Alternatively, consider that eventually these trees will be 12 to 15 ft tall and wide. How will you manage to cover such a large tree?

I don't think there is a best answer. I think you should hedge your bet and put the Flavor Delight aprium close to your house for emergency measures, as some sites say this variety requires less than 300 hours. Put the other two in the exposed location.
