Hello Houzzers this is my first time to post but have gotten many good ideas from months of reading posts here! This photo is of our 1980 home we just moved into. During the major renovation to begin in January, The tv wall will come out to open the room to the kitchen and the exterior wall with have another set of patio doors added, therefore much of the board and baton walls you see here will be gone. The ceiling is nice tongue and groove wood. Wood floors will go in.
Do we remove the remaining portion of board and baton? We feel it really dates the house and with both wood on the ceiling and walls, way too much is going on here.
And do we paint the ceiling a nice cool calming white? We really want a home that’s light, bright and open. We welcome any other ideas!
Thanks everyone for your help!
