Engineered Wood Flooring

Is it possible to get a quality engineered wood floor made in the U.S.? It seems all is made in China. I'm looking to replace the entire downstairs and it's so difficult. Looking for quality but don't want to spend over $10 a square foot. And am looking for something that will work in a kitchen. Any suggestions on where to look, company name? I'm in Northern California. Thanks

You have to bear in mind that most wood manufacturers here in the states will ship their products overseas to have the planks constructed due to labor costs. It's cheaper to ship overseas vs having the products manufactured here.

There are tons of engineered products on the open market but one of the best companies I've had the pleasure to work with is LM Flooring. They are very customer oriented and are quick to handle any claims if they arise. Although I have not had many with their products. I'm located in central Texas, prices that we install these products range between $7-$11 sq ft installed.
