? How are you dealing with the fact that the desk drawer cab is shorter than regular kitchen cabs?

I have a few possibilities for the current leg space. You could leave it open with a counter-height stool, put in an under-counter fridge or beverage fridge, insert open shelving, or have a custom cab made to match your current cabs. The last two options require custom stain matching to mimic your current cabs. If you have pets, it would be a great place to put water/food dishes.

We agree, with adding in a wine or beverage fridge. You can make this area into a bar or coffee station if you want. You could even put in a small TV for watching or making recipes?
