I believe we purchased the material from Waterworks in DC. 16x16 Square Brazil Black CTS Slate. This was in 2013 so not sure it is still something they carry. Marblex also had a source for the product.

we originally specified Brazilian Black from Waterworks, but wound up sourcing the slate from Marblex. I believe the slate was 12 x 24,,set in a herringbone or basket weave.
