The bottom pictures look like some sort of stinkbug (there are many kinds). They try to get into houses before winter here.

The other insect would be broadly considered a plant bug, rather than the differently-shaped stink or shield bugs. I will take a look when time allows.

I don't know about fuzziness versus flight temperature; I have read that dark-bodied flying insects can warm up in the sun more easily, activating the flight muscles.

The dark color makes a lot of sense. Must say the fungus weevil is kind of adorable.

The second insect is in the leaf-footed bugs; there was the same bug's image online but it was not completely identified. Square-shouldered and wing cover beads.

The only thing I saw that was similar was immature Leptoglossus in the Leaf-Footed family of bugs.
